The 2nd Annual Tiger Walk for Type One was held on May 7 at the Terraset Elementary School of Reston to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research.
More than 75 students, teachers and administrators raised more than $725 for JDRF.
Several Terraset students have type 1 diabetes (T1D) including fourth-grader Jack Lotz. Jack and his family are involved with JDRF whose goal is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until we achieve a world without T1D.
