Step Back in Time with Reston Museum’s Fall Walking Tours!

Reston Museum is now offering two fall walking tours every Saturday through the end of November. Tours are roughly 30 minutes to an hour long and explore Reston’s unique history.

The Founding of Reston Tour is offered 10 am every Saturday starting at the Reston Museum. While exploring Reston’s earliest areas tour goers can learn how Reston’s founding principles were implemented, establishing Reston as a place where we can live, work, and play today.

The Before Reston Tour explores the history of the area before it was known as Reston. Toer Goers will see the older areas of Reston off of the W&OD Trail, learning about Dr Wiehle, the Bowman family, and Native American history.

“Reston Museum conducted The Founding of Reston Tour last summer. We are happy to bring back that tour during the cooler fall season and add the additional Before Reston tour.” says Alexandra Campbell, Executive Director of Reston Museum, “It is a great way to see the landmarks, sites, and nature that convey Reston’s unique history.”

Tickets are $10 per adult, $5 per child. Museum Members also recieve a $5 discount.
