The days are shorter and you can feel the chill in the air. The leaves will begin to turn brilliant colors as Autumn is quickly approaching! This is a favorite time of year for many, but that means its time to put away your cute summer sandals and little sundresses.
For those of us who LOVE fall fashion that means its time to break out the boots and start layering your clothing and accessories! I love wearing colors that reflect the seasonal changes, adding golden and burgundy hues to my scarves and sweaters! That means its time to change your makeup palette as well, bringing in richer, deeper tones to your lip and eyeshadow colors! Adding copper and gold shimmer gives an added depth to these rich tones!
In addition to being a seasoned makeup artist I’m also an organic airbrush tan artist. I love the effect of a light airbrush tan for a “healthy glow” this time of year. It adds warmth to the rich makeup palettes this season and will make you truly stand out!

Eyeshadow palettes are the way to go when layering color on your lids this season! One of my favorite palettes is the Tartelette In Bloom Clay Palette by Tarte cosmetics. This eyeshadow kit has a great variety of color choices that are perfect for any season! There are matte and shimmer shades that give you endless possibilities. The darker shadows are perfect for Fall and I love adding shimmer to the center of the lid for a dramatic effect! What really excites me about this particular eyeshadow kit are the ingredients. Mineral pigments and Amazonian clay makes them glide on with ease and allows for smooth blending.
We must turn our attention to foundation this season. As our summer glow fades we should keep this in mind and consider purchasing a lighter shade. Foundation should be a PERFECT match to our skin tone and type for the most flawless makeup application. My all time favorite foundation is Limelife by Alcone Perfect Foundation. The highly pigmented botanical foundation is a favorite among celebrity makeup artists and their clients, creating the most natural effect that looks like a “second skin!” It works well on ANY skin type and is “buildable” for the perfect coverage.
As we transition from summer to the cooler seasons I still love to use bronzers on my clients, to create a warm glow to their skin tone. This looks particularly beautiful with the vivid hues in fashion for this vibrant colorful season. One of my favorite bronzers is Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil. The name says it all! This matte bronzer neutralizes red, enhances all skin tones, and is infused with cocoa powder making it’s chocolate scent extra delicious for the chocolate lover in you.
