Welcome Fall!

As the happy, sunny days of summer say goodbye and we welcome the beautiful colors of autumn, this edition is full of stories and events to enjoy during the coming season in Reston and our surrounding communities.

Get informed about the beautiful art exhibits at the Reston Art Gallery in Lake Anne and at ArtSpace Herndon, enjoy the back-to-school special section and take in some ideas and recommendations for a fun staycation.

Get to know what Kalypso’s Sports Tavern has in store for you during these upcoming months, or have a look over the multiple local events for the entire family including Halloween fun, the Reston Community Center’s Multicultural Festival at Lake Anne and the Fall Flea Market.

For a fall in style, make sure to read the column about shoes by Davelle Clothiers’ owner and top designer David Eisele.

As always, Delegate Plum’s article is chock-full of interesting, useful facts about Reston.

I hope you enjoy this edition as much as I have enjoyed serving the Reston community the last three years, delivering compelling local stories from where I live, work and play.

As the seasons change, leaving behind nice memories while we embrace the new ones, this will be my last edition. VivaReston Lifestyle Magazine will continue its path under a new publisher as I shift in a new direction to pursue new endeavors.

Thank you to all our loyal readers, advertisers and supporters. I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish what I did without you.
