“Holiday Sparkle” at Reston Art Gallery and Studios December 4 – 31

Show of giftable art opens with festive cheer at Jingle on the Lake
Saturday, December 4, 10am – 5pm

Reston Art Gallery and Studios (RAGS) presents the annual Holiday Sparkle show of giftable art – authentic, local works of paintings, mixed media, jewelry, art objects, mobiles, cards, and more created by the 8 artists of RAGS – from December 4 through 31.

“Among the many things learned over the months of the pandemic, all of us are seeking authenticity, local wares, unique experiences, and want to support small businesses,” said Pat Macintyre, gallery owner and director. “We have that in abundance here at Reston Art Gallery and Studios. We welcome all to visit and enjoy our work every weekend.”

The show opens on the day Santa sails in at Lake Anne Plaza for Jingle on the Lake and all are welcome to enjoy some warmth and cheer at the gallery from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Holiday Sparkle is open on  weekends from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays, 12:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sundays, or by appointment. (Closed Saturday, December 25.)

Also starting at 10:00 a.m. on December 4 at Jingle on the Lake, children are invited for the annual tradition of making their own ornaments on the plaza outside of RAGS, free, with “Miss Pat” Macintyre (as she’s known to thousands of families).

Presenting monthly shows and a variety of events since this iconic Reston institution began in 1987, Reston Art Gallery and Studios is located at the “ART” sign on the lakeside of 11400 Washington Plaza West, Reston, VA 20190 at historic Lake Anne Plaza. Appointments to view the works outside of weekend hours can be made by contacting the gallery via RestonArtGallery.com.
