Chalk on the Water at Lake Anne this June 10-11
Once again, Chalk on the Water will fill Lake Anne Plaza with colorful chalk drawings by amateurs and professional artists, as well as families and kids of all ages. Organized by Public Art Reston (formerly IPAR), and Lake Anne, the event will take place on June 10 and 11 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will award prizes for each category: Professional, Amateur, Family/Junior/Senior, and Family/Elementary.
Individuals of all ages are welcome to let their inner artist shine and turn the plaza into a chalk art gallery.
Festival-goers can purchase a “plot” of brick space on the plaza and paint to their hearts delight whatever flows from their imagination.
Cost for spaces are $10.00 for families and school-age children (Elementary – High School), and $15.00 for amateur and professional artists. Professional artists must do a large piece. Prizes are awarded based on jury selections.
The Virginia LOVE sign will be at this year’s Chalk on the Water at Lake Anne, so you can have your photo taken with the iconic sign!
