Pastel Chocolate Alfajores from Dulceology

Alfajores are a traditional dessert in South American countries consisting of a dulce de leche filling sandwiched between two shortbread cookies. Dulceology’s are covered in a pastel chocolate coating and are $18 for 15 Alfajores.

“Peanut Butter Cup” Cupcake from Red Velvet Cupcakery

Red Velvet Cupcakery is known for its unique, gourmet flavored cupcakes. The “Peanut Butter Cup” cupcake is a Reston favorite and features a decadent chocolate cake base topped with sweet and salty peanut butter icing.

Ricotta Beignets from Red’s Table

As of February, Red’s Table in Reston has added Ricotta Beignets to their brunch menu. The French-inspired treat is made of fried dough, ricotta, lemon zest and poppy seeds, then topped with powdered sugar.

Spiced Chocolate Pudding from Bartaco Reston

If you’re indulging at Bartaco with a rice bowl and a mojito then be sure to leave room for dessert. Bartaco offers an authentic Mexican dessert, Spiced Chocolate Pudding, which is topped with whipped cream, crispy oats and a hazelnut drizzle.
