NextStop’s Summer Theatre Escapes are week-long theatre classes for 1st through 12th graders which follow a process-based curriculum to foster a life-long love of the performing arts. The program will run from June 21st – August 20th.
Each session is 3 hours a day for a week. Led and designed by highly experienced professional teaching artists, students will explore a variety of subjects featuring daily, in-person acting, musical theatre, movement and improv workshops.
This program provides opportunities for collaboration, imagination, and greater individual attention from teaching artists due to smaller class sizes.
Students participate in socially-distant activities and exercises on the stage, which provides over 800 square feet of open floor space. When not on stage, students are spaced out in our 100-seat capacity audience. NextStop utilized this model in the summer of 2020 with tremendous success. Serving nearly 200 students, with zero health incidents.
