Natural Habitats by Sandra C Dovberg

Featured exhibit at Reston Art Gallery and Studios, May 5 – 30

Sandra C Dovberg presents her newest paintings with a primary focus on the beauty of nature in scenes of local flora and fauna in their own environments in the show “Natural Habitats” on display at Reston Art Gallery and Studios (RAGS) from May 5 through May 30. The show is open every weekend from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 12:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. Dovberg is also an award-winning silversmith and will bring a special display of her fascinating art objects when she is in the gallery on two Saturdays, May 21 and May 28. While viewing the “Natural Habitats” show visitors can also enjoy works displayed by all eight artists of RAGS, as well as the scenery of the lakeside setting. Neighboring the gallery are local restaurants with outdoor seating, and it is just steps away from Lake Anne’s Saturday morning Farmers Market. 

In addition to featuring Dovberg’s show in May, RAGS presents a special exhibit at Reston Community Center–Hunters Woods from May 2 through May 31, highlighted with the “Appalachian Spring” concert on Saturday, May 7 presented by the Reston Chorale.

Furthering its nurture of art, RAGS offers free, themed Crafts for Kids every Saturday morning at the gallery, April through December, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
