Volunteer Opportunities available at the Reston Museum’s Cardboard Boat Regatta

Reston Museum is looking for volunteers to assist with this year’s Cardboard Boat Regatta on August 19th! Over 30 life size cardboard boats will take to Lake Anne in timed heats and nearly 100 volunteers help to make this spectacular community event a success. Volunteers sign up for two hour shifts to direct boats onto the plaza or deck, provide attendees with information, facilitate family-friendly activities, and more.

If you don’t want to get wet or build a boat but want to still participate in this fun event, volunteering is the next best thing!

Refreshments and a tshirt are provided. Sign up to volunteer here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0b49ada829a2f58-2023#/

In addition to fostering community spirit and creating a high-energy event for adults and families alike, all proceeds from the Lake Anne Cardboard Boat Regatta support the Reston Museum a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the past, informing the present, and influencing the future of Reston through its educational programming, archives, and exhibitions.
