In September, the Reston Association opened the doors of its beautiful Lake House, sponsored by Comstock and located in Browns Chapel Park, to the community.
In the Spring of 2015 Reston Association members voted in a referendum to allow the association to purchase the property located at 11450 Baron Cameron Avenue, in Reston. After closing on the property on July 23, 2015, now the property has been renovated and is available to the enjoyment of the community.
Two open houses, organized by Let’s Party, were held on September 17 and 18, and guests were able to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, light refreshments, door prizes, and a magnificent view of Lake Newport.
“This is the venue the community has always needed,” said Cate Fulkerson, Reston Association’s CEO.
Lake House is the perfect place to hold mid-size events, like small weddings, baby showers, corporate events, and memorial services, and its rental price is in line with the Meadowlark Gardens venue in Vienna, VA.
At press time, the Lake House was already half booked for 2016 and was taking reservations for 2017.
