With CityBand, Azmeh strikes a unique musical balance between classical music, jazz, and the music of his Syrian homeland.

Wolf Trap’s continuing collaboration with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center begins the 2022–2023 Chamber Music at TheBarns season by celebrating America’s imported musical diversity. The program features the sublimemusic of Czech composer Dvořák; Belgian virtuoso violinist, composer, and conductor Eugène Ysaÿe; and English composer and conductor Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

Elias’ piano mastery will be on display as she performs tracks from her most recent album, Mirror Mirror, which won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album (2022). The extraordinary record features Elias performing duets with the late jazz great ChickCorea and famed Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés.

Halloween Parade

Since 1946, the Town of Vienna has hosted a Halloween parade for area families. Now held rain or shine on Wednesday evening the week before Halloween, the parade includes decoratedfloats, marching bands, and costumed children. All “monster mash” their way down Maple Avenue, from Branch Road to Center Street. The Town’s annual parade is a longtime tradition.
