Hill Impact Honored with Award from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America

Dan Hill, CEO of Hill Impact, — an integrated strategic communications and government relations firm located in Reston — has been recognized as the recipient of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America’s (BBBSA) 2017 Common Good Award. The prestigious award is presented annually to an outstanding individual or organization that provides a tremendous investment of in-kind services to benefit the overall success of the organization.

“I am incredibly humbled to be receiving this award from such an amazing and respected organization,” said Hill. “However, the real reward is seeing the positive impact made in the lives of America’s youth. BBBSA understands that mentoring is now more relevant than ever and is constantly evolving to find new ways to make meaningful changes and reach bigger audiences.”

Hill’s belief in the power of mentoring and the positive effects it has on communities led him to begin working with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America in 2012. Over the course of five years, Hill provided the nonprofit with more than $1 million in pro bono counsel and public relations services to support BBBSA’s mission.

“Dan Hill’s dedication to Big Brothers Big Sisters is vital to fulfilling our mission of serving children who face adversity with strong and enduring one-to-one mentoring relatioanships,” said Pam Iorio, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America president and CEO. “We are grateful for his continued support and generosity, which allows us to provide a better and brighter future for the next generation.”

The Common Good Award was presented to Hill at BBBSA’s National Conference in San Diego on Wednesday, June 28. Hill delivered his acceptance speech in front of notable industry experts, affiliates and influencers. In receiving the award, Hill joins the ranks of esteemed organizations and individuals, such as 2014 recipient, Jamie Foxx, Academy and Grammy award winning actor and musician.

For over 20 years Hill has dedicated his life to helping individuals and companies succeed by managing crises and reputations. Hill Impact’s clients include Fortune 100 multinational corporations, global non-profits and notable names in the sports & entertainment industries.
