Reston Museum Launches Walking Tours This Summer

Step back in time! Join a Reston Museum docent on Saturdays 10:30 am for a guided historic walking tour exploring Reston’s founding. Tour starts at the Reston Museum and lasts approximately 30 minutes. This free tour will explore the founding of Reston, what makes Reston unique, and how this planned community revolutionized America’s suburban neighborhoods. Advanced registration is encouraged to secure attendance, as tour size will be limited.

Those who wish to register for a tour can sign up here.

“We are thrilled to be offering this new program to our community! It is one thing to learn about Reston’s history inside the museum but a walking tour will allow our visitors to see how Reston’s founding principles were enacted on a grand scale. ” says Alexandra Campbell, Executive Director of the Reston Museum.

Marketing for this program is supported by the Virginia Tourism Corporation Grant in partnership with George Mason University and Reston Association.
