The Reston Historic Trust & Museum invites you to a special exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Mission – the first time humans stepped onto the surface of the Moon. The poster exhibition is brought to you courtesy of the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission is on view through the end of the year. Visitors will enjoy learning not only about the history of Apollo 11 but also the story behind the name of two of Reston’s schools: Armstrong Elementary and Aldrin Elementary.
Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission Poster Exhibition is based on a traveling exhibition of the same name, developed by the National Air and Space Museum and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.
